Not much running this week but what I did was rather fun.

Wednesday I was at my club helping with the Start to Run group. This is a regular 6 week course the club holds to get people running. This was week 5 of the course and by this stage they were up to 2 x 11 minute runs with a minute break in between. Each week the group starts with a discussion on a different topic, this week it was technology and racing, before heading out for the run. It was a really nice group and I enjoyed helping out. We ran just over 2 miles in 24 minutes 41 seconds. Not bad for only 5 weeks of running.

Saturday I went to parkrun for a wet and windy 5k. I thought I’d try and aim for a sub-28 minute run, something I had managed over the summer, but I didn’t quite make it finishing with a time of 28 minutes 47 seconds. I think I need to make sure I spend more time warming up on cold days if I want to get under 28 minutes regularly.

Dog in Wendover WoodsNo running for me on Sunday, instead I went on a long walk in Wendover Woods with my chap and our pup. It was a really beautiful autumnal day with clear blue skies and crisp leaves on the ground and a lovely end to the week.
