Trailffest Training Week 9
Not long now!
Monday
Pilates class
WI evening
My penultimate training week! My runs were fun this week, even leading the Bridging Group for an almost 6 mile run in torrential rain and a starless sky. I had a lovely run along canals with my mum and managed some hill repeats.
It’s now less than a week until the Trailffest half marathon. I sort of feel prepared, I think that my training has pretty much gone to plan and I am confident that I am in good shape to run 13.1 miles. However, I do feel nervous. This is only my second half marathon and my first trail half. I know it will be hard, there’s a lot of hills in Snowdonia!, but hopefully my long, hilly runs will have put me in good stead for them. I’m also looking forward to running trails where the route is well marked and the nettles will have been squished before I get there. My poor shins have been stung, scratched and prickled enough this summer!
How has your week been?
